Raise your hand if you’ve ever struggled with skin issues of some kind?
Dealing with skin problems is no fun, and they can be tricky to resolve following conventional methods.
In this quick episode I’m going to break down five specific ways you can make practical adjustments to your lifestyle to heal and create healthy skin from the inside out.
What You’ll Hear:
- How your skin health is affected by everything from what you eat, to how well your body detoxifies, to your hormones, and so much more
- Why it’s important to eat a diet low in inflammation and allergens
- How infections, candida, parasites, autoimmune disease, and other internal conditions can cause chronic skin issues
- How supporting gut healing and health can improve the health of your skin
- The role that good fats and oils play in creating healthy skin from within
- Why you should be drinking half your body weight in ounces of water per day (and a special trick for making it happen!)
- The importance of supporting your body’s detoxification system and reducing your toxic burden
Tips & Recommendations:
- For gut health eat a diet rich in fermented foods and nutrient-dense foods, while avoiding sugar, gluten and grains and dairy if that’s an issue for you
- Healthy oils include coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, MCT oil, grass-fed butter, and palm oil (make sure to get high quality!)
- Healthy fats include avocado, grass-fed beef, nuts and seeds, full fat dairy, olives, and nut butters (shoot for around 1-4 tablespoons of healthy fat per day)
- To help you get enough water add in some fruit or greens to mix it up!
- Don’t let sparkling water be your main source of daily hydration – reserve it as a treat

Did you know that the personal care industry has very little regulation in our country?
Companies are allowed to include known toxins in their products – ingredients that are linked to hormone disruption, fertility issues, cancer and more.
And they aren’t required to disclose these ingredients with you. Sounds wrong, right?
I have been aware for a number of years that our personal care products don’t have enough regulations in this country to be called safe.
I’ve known I needed to switch my products and throw away some of the more toxic things, but my problem was that I couldn’t find products that worked well!
Everything I tried left my skin feeling dry and my makeup looking like I hadn’t put anything on after 10 am.
It was a real problem and I wanted to give up trying to find good and safe products…that is, until I discovered Beautycounter!
Beautycounter is committed to a health and safety standard that goes well beyond what’s required by U.S. law.
They’ve banned the use of more than 1,500 questionable or harmful chemicals through their “Never List”—all while ensuring their products perform and that they’re as indulgent as any other luxe shampoo, lipstick, or oil in the market.
