The United States ranks last in developed nations for health, despite the most money spent on healthcare. This is why our country is being his so hard right now and has so much chronic disease. We think we are so healthy, but as a nation, we are not.
Despite the fact we have a robust health care system and spend the most money on health care, we are still the most unhealthy. There is so much obesity and chronic diseases and we don’t take responsibility for our own health and lifestyle choices well.
This is important. Why? Because much of our health is based on our decisions that we make day after day and year after year.
But we do need to see the positive effect a healthy lifestyle can mke. The choices you are making now (or need to start making) are important.
Kids too, because they are our next generation and we want them healthy for their future too!
We are called to love God with all of our strength. And our physical body is a part of our strength. We are called to take good care of it. This won’t mean perfect health or no health struggles.
Don’t take a pass on caring for your health or think it doesn’t matter. It matters.
Filling your body with toxins and not encouraging their removal will add up over time. It always does.
