Meet Caroline Potter of Flourish Living
Shortly after her daughter was born, Caroline became increasingly exhausted. She suffered with migraines, PMS, auto-immune disorders and even wound up in the emergency room twice. It was then she decided she didn’t have to live that way. These challenges and revelations led to a new passion for learning and a deep understanding of adrenal health. She knew she had to share this information with others and created her blog, Flourish Living.
Adrenal Glands, Adrenal Health, And Why It Matters
Stress might look different for each person, but it all comes down to a change in equilibrium. With our busy lives and schedules, this stress is often chronic and can be too much to handle. When stress increases, your adrenal glands kick in and act as your body’s emergency response team by recognizing, handling, and surviving stress. However, if the stress is too great, our adrenals are in a constant state of activation leading to adrenal fatigue, causing brain fog, exhaustion, or depressed mood.
How To Improve Adrenal Health Through Baby Steps
Caroline preaches the idea of taking baby steps to work on lessening adrenal fatigue and increasing energy. The first step is to reduce the guilt! It’s okay to admit that you may be in over your head. Other steps include creating consistent morning and night time routines, scheduling downtime with no plans once a week, taking 10 deep breaths to calm yourself down, finding out what self care means to you and creating time for it, and decreasing caffeine.
The Adrenal Collective Workshop
Caroline has created a workshop all about adrenal health called the Adrenal Collective. It is a holistic roadmap to regain your energy, focus, and passion through actionable baby steps. It provides all the information you need to gain a better understanding of your adrenal health and provides a roadmap to success that can be used in all phases of your life.
