Ep. 98-99: Our Daughter Evie’s Unlikely Birth Story

Podcast· Pregnancy, Birth, and Baby

Just Enjoy Health Podcast Ep. 98-98: Our Daughter Evie's Unlikely Birth Story | www.MeghanBirt.com

A few months ago when our second daughter, miss Evelyn Lucy was born, I wasn’t sure whether I would end up sharing her birth story or not.

It felt really personal, and I was content to take my time resting, recovering, getting to know baby Evie, and deciding later whether to share the story or not.

Well…after sharing it with certain friends and family and getting some encouragement from them, I’ve decided to share the whole story of Evie’s birth with you!

It’s a long one, which is why I’ve broken it up into two episodes, so feel free to break it up as you listen in.

Evie’s Unlikely Birth Story Part 1

Evie’s Unlikely Birth Story Part 2

What You’ll Hear:

  • Why we planned to have a home VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section)
  • All about my “oddly” shaped uterus
  • The specific work we did to optimize fetal positioning
  • Why we chose to have an ultrasound at 22 weeks
  • How I specifically prepared for labor and birth
  • What led us to transfer to the hospital during labor
  • The surprising twist that led to having another c-section
  • My experience dealing with retained placenta
