Ep. 90: Navigating the Postpartum Season with Megan Garcia

Podcast

The Just Enjoy Health Podcast Ep 90: Navigating the Postpartum Season with Megan Garcia | Megh

During the postpartum season (otherwise known as the fourth trimester) there are lots of changes happening physically, mentally, emotionally and hormonally as you learn to adjust to life with your new baby.

In this episode I’m joined by Megan Garcia to chat about all the things you may experience, things to think about and how to make sure you’re taking care of yourself, as well as baby during this time.

Megan Garcia is a mama to two boys and lives in Los Angeles. She has a master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine and is the creator of First Foods & Beyond.

Her main gig for the last ten years has been copywriting, editing, and research for folks in the health and wellness industry.

When Megan found out she was pregnant with her first baby back in 2011, she began going deep into baby health and wellness (specifically a baby’s first 1000 days).

Her interest in baby health, combined with a big love for all things food and gut-related has become the heart and soul of what she does in her own little corner of the web at MeganGarcia.com.

What You’ll Hear:

  • Nina’s experience with postpartum depression and anxiety
  • What exactly the “fourth trimester” is and what to expect
  • Practical tips to get rest and take care of yourself
  • How taking a fish oil supplement can improve maternal health
  • Postpartum recommendations for recovery
  • Our thoughts on placenta encapsulation

Sponsor Spotlight: Safe Skincare Series

Did you know the US has not passed a federal law regulating the cosmetic industry since 1938?

Women use an average of 12 personal care products containing 168 ingredients daily.

These chemicals are really affecting our health from creating inflammation, infertility, obesity, thyroid imbalance, and certain types of cancers.

These statistics are what get me fired up to change the industry and tell you about switching your products!

Are you curious about how to change your beauty routine up by using safer and non-toxic products?

Or maybe safer skincare hasn’t really crossed your mind. You may think what you buy on the shelf already safe?

Wherever you are at in changing up your personal care product, skincare, and makeup routine to safer products, my safe skincare email series is for you.

You don’t have to compromise beauty for safety. You don’t have to decide between a product that works or one that is safe. You can have both!

I show you how in my safe skincare series. PLUS, I give you my personal skincare and makeup routine using products I trust and that work very well.
