Invigorating Bath Salts

Essential Oils

Screen Shot 2015-10-12 at 4.37.21 PM

I love a good bath. I really love a bath and taking a bath is one of my most favorite things to do. I believe there are different types of baths.

Let me explain…

There are quick baths that are only meant to give you a quick clean. There are relaxation baths, exercise recovery baths and then there are invigorating baths.

In this post I want to share with you my Invigorating Bath Salt Recipe. This is wonderful for the morning and to invigorate your mind and senses. You can hang out in the bath while doing some good thinking and get out feeling refreshed and with a boost of positivity.

Ingredients

1 cup epsom salts

3 drops peppermint essential oil

3 drops lemon essential oil*

Directions

  • In a mason jar or small sealable jar add the epsom salts
  • Next add the drops of essential oils. The basic rule is 1-2 drops per 1/4 cup of epsom salts
  • Put the lid on the container and shake the epsom salt to combine the essential oil
  • You can double (or triple) the recipe and make as much of this as you want

*Lemon essential oil is photosensitive (all citrus essential oils are), meaning that it can cause an increased chance of sunburn within 12-24 hours of using it. If this is the summer, you may want to omit the lemon. You could substitute the lemon with Rosemary or En-R-Gee Essential Oils.
