I was nominated by by my friend Chloe of How We Flourish to explain why I write my blog. I thought the topic was amazing because I love sharing personal stories about the WHY behind what I do.
Let me begin!
Why I write
Just Enjoy Food was an idea that was birthed in my mind years ago. And it was only an idea, I had no idea what a blog was or how it worked. I just knew I wanted to share my healthy recipes with others. I bought the domain name and then sat on it for about 2 years, just waiting for the right time to launch. I have a very dear family friend that offered to build a website for free. That was the best gift I got because it got me started. My blogging was extremely intermittent, posting when I could and when I had a recipe to share. And then it became more of a passion for me. I wanted to share more recipes that could help others transition into healthier food choices and to not make it as overwhelming. Oh, and also to realize that you can cook good tasting food that’s also healthy. Just Enjoy Food has taken off from there. It’s still food, but is much more. I want to share vital health information with you. Information that will change your life. About essential oils, supplementation, detox, cleansing, reducing daily toxins and the importance of chiropractic care.
I’m a chiropractor and the more I learn about health the more I want to share it with you. It’s amazing information. Truth! My overarching goal is to Empower, Encourage and Educate!
What am I working on Writing
Right now I am writing a lot. And thinking about lots of different topics. There’s a million things I’m learning (well it seems like a million some times) and I can’t wait to share it with you! I want you to have health changing information at your fingertips. My latest endeavor is to create a whole section of my blog with essential oil resources. I’m also about to launch my health coaching services. I want to be able to work directly with you in healing your body and getting back on the right track health wise.
How does my work/ writing differ from others?
I write what inspires me. I write what got my own health back. And I write to inspire you too! I want to share information that will enhance your life and your health. I share with you things that will teach you things. And because of my chiropractic degree I have a unique voice. I am a researcher and I work with clients on their own health. I learn new and cutting edge information at seminars and am able to share it with you. A lot of what I know can’t be share in a blogpost, it’s information and protocols that need to be done under a guidance of a doctor. But things you can learn and apply yourself, I will share those things with you!
How does my writing process work?
Oh I wish I had an exact process! Right now it’s the evening and I am sitting in a chair typing this post. If I am writing a research post I need to focus I will sit at my desk. But with lots going on in life I tend to blog when I have time or when I make time. I always have ideas. Sometimes I wish I had hours and hours just to get my thoughts out. It’s really one recipe at a time and one health tip at a time.
That’s enough of me. Here is some more information on some of my favorite bloggers you should check out:

In the summer of 2012, she became very interested in living “green,” and it snowballed from there First, it was simply transitioning her home to products free of toxic chemicals. She now passionately shares her love for homemade products, essential oils, women’s health, and real food. She wants to show people that anyone can make small changes to not only save the planet, but to also improve your personal health.
