The majority of the people following my blog right now are women. Because of that I thought it would be ok to post a review of an ebook on fertility. Well, even if there were only a few women who end up reading this page I believe it would be worth it to review this book. Fertilise Yourself by Nat Kringoudis has the power to completely transform the way you look at fertility. It’s not just about being pregnant. Now before I dig into the things I love about this book, I want to give you a little background on why I chose this book to review.
It’s a funny story because I first learned about Natalie from Instagram. When I first joined Instagram I was looking high and low for fellow bloggers and practitioners to follow. One of the reasons I love social media is because I can learn and get inspired from others with a quick refresh. I seriously love learning and especially learning from others who have a specialty or niche! So within this searching I came across Nat Kringoudis and started following her. I quickly became aware that she works with fertility and is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine. She has an amazing presence online and owns a practice in Australia called The Pagoda Tree. I have always had an passion for pregnancy and birth and was one of my main focuses of study while in Chiropractic School. Now, I don’t have any children myself, but this information has become invaluable in my practice to share with patients and clients. I also see couples struggle with infertility on a regular basis. It breaks my heart to see couples struggle and this book is going to be an amazing resource and hopefully a game changer in the area of fertility for these couples. The more people that can learn and know this information, the better. Right? Nat starts her book out with this quote “Food is fuel. You better believe it.” Now I have to completely agree with that statement and know that I spend a lot of my time focusing on healing, nourishing and foods that fuel your body in the right way. She stresses running away (and running fast) from the 80’s style diets of low fat and a lot of processed foods to a balanced whole foods approach of protein, carbs (mostly from veggies and fruit) and pumping up the healthy fats! We need to look at our fertility as an extension of our health and we need nutrient dense foods to fuel our body functions including our fertility. There’s no way we can expect to build our fertility by eating junk. This way of eating balances hormones and builds a fertile body. It’s for women to eat years before getting pregnant, if pregnant, nursing or in between having children. It’s for men too, we can’t forget about fertility for our guys! Honestly, anybody can eat this way and should eat this way! (Who doesn’t want hormone balance, woman or man??)
Nat also walks you through her 10 steps to your fertile body. The information is encouraging and empowering. It will inspire you to change your lifestyle and implement these steps into your daily life. They are do-able and everybody (INCLUDING YOU) has the ability to make these changes. Nat doesn’t set the bar so high that you feel you can’t follow the steps. Stress affects our fertility (She says up to 50% and I agree). I love that she practices what she preaches and writes the steps in a stress-free way. You can make these changes and not see an increase in your stress level because of them. We all can follow 10 steps, right?
And… I have to mention it: This book is beautiful! Colors, graphics, layout. It truly makes your mind so calm and happy as you read this book full of life-changing information. I could go on about it, but I won’t!

One of the biggest take-aways I had from the book is that our fertility is an extension of our bodies. If you are struggling with fertility, that means there is something deeper lying into your health that needs to be addressed. Once that is identified and corrected, your body has the energy to do it’s vital functions along with making you “fertility fit.” The phrase “Fertility Fit” comes from Nat and I love it! Doesn’t it describe fertility in such a powerful way? It almost gives me goosebumps thinking that you can choose and create a higher level of fertility and health. Remember that you are powerful and have the power within to change and affect your fertility!
