HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES TO PLASTIC

A few years ago I ditched the toxic plastics in my kitchen and switched to glass. And guess what? It’s easier and ultimately cheaper because they last so long. My old plastic cups, storage containers and bottles would get pretty gross after a few months and then I would go and replace them. Now I can’t remember the last time I replaced a glass jar (oh yes, I do remember and that was when I cracked a few freezing by beef broth). Other than that, they have been really sturdy and durable. Not to mention healthy.

Toxins found in plastic commonly are BPA and phthalates which are hormone disruptors. They can lead to weight gain and mimic estrogens in our bodies leading to toxic estrogen overload. This is not good for anybody, especially women and children.

You can easily avoid using plastics in your home. Below I have a video showing you some of my favorite glass storage containers, water bottles, spray bottles and mason jars. I also included a lot of links to my favorite brands and show you where to purchase the things I show you in the video.
